Mitte kasutada laste ööpesuks...Do not use for children's sleepwear

Mõnda aega tagasi sattusin Abakhanis ühele kangale, millel ilus Rapuntseli motiiv. Mõttesse kerkis mitu ideed, mida sellest ühele tüdrukutirtsule kõik teha saaks. Materjal 100% puuvillane.

Some time ago I found a nice Rapuntsel motif fabric at the local craft store. 100% pure cotton.

Ma teadsin täpselt, kuidas üks neiu mul kodus vaimustusest kilkab, kui sellist kangast näeb - ikkagi Rapuntsel ja unistuste juuksed.

I knew exactly how my little girl would jump to the heavens seeing Rapuntsel on that fabric.

Motiiv kordus ja tegi selle eriti sobilikuks mõneks lapitööprojektiks.

This fabric is good for quilting as the motif is repeated regularly.

Aga mitte sellest ei tahtnud ma rääkida :)

Kanga servas olid tehasemärgised, mille seas  lause "mitte kasutada laste ööpesuks". See oli midagi uut, vähemalt minu jaoks. Uurisin müüjalt, kes tunnistas, et näeb midagi sellist esimest korda, kuid soovitas kanga lihtsalt kaks korda läbi pesta :) Tore :) Ostsin kanga ära ja hakkasin kodus asja uurima. Selgus, et Ameerikas on vastav määrustik, mis sätestab, et kõik laste ööpesu tuleb töödelda kemikaalidega tulekindlaks.

But that's not the reason why I'm blogging about it.

On the edge of the fabric I read "Do not use for children's sleepwear". That was something new, at least to me. I asked salesperson if she could comment that, but she admitted, that it is news to her too and advised me just to wash it twice before using :) OK :o) I bought the fabric and did some investigation back home. Turns out that there is some code (I hope it is the right term for it) in America stating that all children's sleepwear should be treated with flame-resistant chemicals.

Seega, ma tõesti pesen selle kaks korda läbi, nagu müüja soovitas. Kuid hoopis teistel põhjustel :)

So, I will wash it twice before using it, but on other reasons :)
